Architecture Design Master Course

Course Introduction

This is a 8-weeks long project based studio course with a focus on architecture design with integration of advanced computational design. The course aims to provide students with comprehensive learning experience of design, research and the latest trend of technology used in architecture.

The course covers a range of topics, including design, architectural computational design theory, software training, architectural drawings and presentation, and cutting-edge research topics such as AI, robotic construction, modular housing, VR, and the Metaverse and are taught by world leading experts and academic researchers in the world.

Studio Focus

A. Generative Design and AI Architecture Studio
In this studio, students will explore the application of advanced computational methods in architectural design, with a particular emphasis on advanced algorithmic design and generative design using artificial intelligence (AI). Through a combination of theory and hands-on experience, students will gain a deeper understanding of the principles and techniques of computational design, and how they can be used to tackle complex architecture and urban problems and create innovative spatial experiences.

B. Modular Housing and VR Construction in Architecture
The advancement of technology has opened up new possibilities in the design and construction of buildings. This module explores the application of modular design, robotic construction, and automation in the field of architecture. Students will gain a deeper understanding of these cutting-edge technologies and their impact on the industry.

C. Sustainable Future Cities Studio
The world is undergoing a major transformation in multiple aspects – social, economic, environmental, and political. The rapid migration to city centers is posing new challenges and opportunities for urban design and development. In this studio, studio will explore the emerging concept of data driven design, and learn the skills necessary to contribute to their creation and evolution as well as the foundations of sustainability, the principles of environmental design, and the practical considerations of creating a sustainable and resilient environment. Students will learn about various environmentally conscious design techniques and how they can be applied to create functional and sustainable buildings.

 D. Resilient Community Studio
In the face of rapid change and increasing challenges, communities must be redesigned to ensure their resilience and sustainability in a modern society. This module will delve into the process of rethinking and reshaping communities to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world.
